There seems to be some confusion among parents regarding fees that are due for out of town meets. Let me clear up the confusion.
In the past we have had three fees: 1. meet fees - based on the number of races you choose 2. bus fees - amount is based on the total cost divided by the number of swimmers using the bus. 3. coaches' cost - coaches expenses, bus driver, and chaperones.
The only thing that has changed this year is that your meet entries will be charged to your swimmers accounts. Invoice amounts have always varied in the past because swimmers could swim 4 or 10 races.Since this charge has been removed from the invoice, everyone will be paying the same fees for out of town meets. e.g. bus fees and coaches' costs. For this reason, it is not necessary for me to bill each person individually.
Once all ballots have been received, the costs will be calculated and an email sent to the coaches who will send them to the parents of each child .
Here are some important points: We cannot give you these amounts until all ballots have come in and have been processed, so please do not ask your coaches on Monday what the charges will be if the ballot is due on Friday. You will have enough time to submit your money before the due date.
If you are attending Brandon, there is no team bus, so you will not be charged a bus fee. The only cost you will incur is the coaches' costs.
If you are attending a bus meet and your son/daughter elects to take the bus, then you will be charged the bus fee and the coaches' costs.
If you don't take the bus, then you will only incur coaches' costs. All cheques for the above charges must be paid before your child hops on the bus or before you leave for Brandon. Please submit your payment in a timely manner.
